Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Albert "Al" Mihal share his unexpected passing on Monday, August 19, 2024, in Boynton Beach, FL.

Al was born March 27, 1943 in Sewickley, PA and grew up in nearby Coraopolis, PA.  He graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School in 1962.  In the same year he met Carol and they were married in 1966.  Al served in the U.S. Army from 1965 through 1967 and was stationed at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, AK.

Al began working at Deluxe Check Printers in 1967 at the Pittsburgh production plant and relocated through Deluxe with his family to Cincinnati in 1979.  He retired from Deluxe as the Regional Director of Machine Maintenance in 1999 after 32 years. Al continued working at various different jobs that were inspired by his hobbies for home improvements and restoring cars.  Most recently, he worked at the Home Depot in Lantana, FL.

Al was a loving and fantastic husband, father, grandfather, and friend with a passion for singing DooWop (his all time favorite song "In the Still of the Night" by the Five Satins), restoring cars, spending time with his family and friends, and traveling.  His favorite saying, which speak to his vibrant personality, was "never had a bad day."

Al is survived by Carol, his wife of 58 years, his daughter Carrie, son Shawn (wife Holly), and his grandchildren Stone, Lindsey, Milo, and Luna.
