Obituary

Alice Argyros Hill from Boca Raton passed away on March 4, 2024.

Alice was born in 1939 in New York to James and Voula Argyros. Alice's family relocated to
south Florida during her teen years. She graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School. She
earned a degree in Education at Florida Southern University. Alice played tennis in college and
for many years after. At one time, she was ranked 12 th in the state of Florida among tennis
players.

Alice met her beloved husband, Larry, at Florida Southern University and they were
married for 30 years. Alice and Larry played doubles on many community tennis teams in the
Boca Raton area over the years. They loved volunteering with the United States Tennis Association of FL and hosted players in their home. She was a teacher for 20 years and then became the Assistant Administrator for Broward County Public School System for several years. After Larry's passing in 1996, Alice earned her Master's in Vocational Education at Florida Atlantic University and taught adult night school. Later in life, her favorite hobbies were playing cards and visiting the slot machines at the casinos. She loved seeing musical concerts and shows, and traveling.

Alice is survived by aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Even though she had no children of her own, Alice had a special interest in all the children in the family.
