Obituary - Alice M Schuhler, Oct. 9, 2018

Born in Fort Wayne, IN on Feb.6, 1925. Died in Fort Wayne, IN on Oct 9, 2018 at 93. She graduated from South Side High School in 1943 and then worked as a machinist at GE till the end of WWII. She married William Schuhler in 1945, while he was in the navy, and were married 61 years until his death in 2006. They were preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Cerilda Fisher, and a sister and brother-in-law Bernice and Jerry Freiburger. They are survived by 7 children, Terry Schuhler, Bill Schuhler (Barb), Connie (Tom Hoff), Chris (Chuck Bolinger), Sally (Mel Puff), Peggy (Jay Snyder), and Mary Alice (Phil Hoham). There are 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She was a bridal seamstress and founded Schuhler's Weddings in Fort Wayne. Later she became a Licensed Practical Nurse at age 58 in Lake Worth, FL and practiced until age 70. In 1981 she moved to Lake Worth Florida where she lived until 2016 at which time she returned to Fort Wayne.

Memorial Service will be held at Saint Vincent De Paul, Fort Wayne on Friday October 12 at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 10:00am. There will be a luncheon following at the church hall. Catholic burial Mass will be Tuesday, October 16 at 10:00 at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Boynton Beach, Fl. Burial at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in West Palm Beach, Fl. immediately following.
