Angela Marina Santoro (nee Henriquez) passed away on February 18th, 2020 at the age of 88 in Lake Worth, Florida. "Angie" was born in the Bronx, New York on August 8 th , 1931 to Hipolito and Anna Henriquez (nee Madera) of Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic respectively.
Angie was the fourth of four daughters, listed from oldest to youngest: Carmen, Anna, Josie, and Angie.
Angie married Louis P. Santoro, also of the Bronx, New York on June 26 th , 1954. She worked for the Lion Match Company and EJ Korvettes in New York, and later for the Broward County Florida School District.
Angie and Lou raised three children: Gerrie (Santoro), Louis (Santoro), and Jeanette (Williams, nee Santoro). All were born and raised in New York.
The family relocated to Margate, Florida in July of 1973.
In the 1990s Angie moved to King's Isle adult community in Port St Lucie, Florida, where she made many friends and enjoyed 20 plus years of fun in retirement. She moved back to South Florida in 2017 to be closer to her family when her health began to fail.
Angie enjoyed music, dancing, red wine, international travel, Chili's El Presidente margaritas, activities with her Red Hat Society, cold beer, and was very active in her local Catholic church, serving in the choir and was a Eucharistic Minister. She had a very wide circle of friends and was constantly in the midst of the fun.
In her own words, "Celebrate my life, it was quite a ball!"
Angie was preceded in death by her husband Lou and all three sisters. She's survived by all three children and daughter-in-law Shaun Santoro, son-in-law David Williams, and five grandchildren: Christie Williams, Kyle Williams, Anthony Santoro, Kauni Logan (nee Oltz), and Kandice Oltz.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a Prayer Service beginning at 6:00 pm, at Boynton Memorial Chapel.
