Ann Marie (Curtin) Laramee
April 9th 1932 – July 2nd 2016
Taking a golf cart ride to the beach was one of Ann's favorite things to do. She loved the sand pipers, turtle nests, waves and the peace it brought her.
Ann spent the last 26 years of years of her life at her self proclaimed "little piece of Heaven", Briny Breeze FL. She moved there with her husband after raising 7 children in Rockland MA. Born in East Weymouth MA to George and Rita Curtin, she later met the love of her life Harvey (Hap) Laramee, were married for 41 years until Hap passed away in 1999. They could have written a book titled "How to Fall in Love and Stay in Love Forever", as she continued to honor their anniversary every year.
Ann loved Briny so much, several of her friends later also moved there, many of which continued to provide her with great friendships, love and laughter. She would play cards, head to the beach, work in the Briny Library(thanks to her passion for reading), and would start every day finishing the crossword puzzle in the local paper. She really enjoyed the visits from any family member who would show up, and often ended up heading out to lunch or just staying home to play dominoes. Her family lived for the times she would send them a hand written note in the mail, always filled with a personal remembrance of time spent together.
Ann loved flip flops, turtles, playing cards with her girl friends, and most of all, loved her family.
She is survived by her children, daughter Kathleen Bonvouloir and husband Rene; daughter Maryjo Thacker; daughter Leslie Lally and husband Patrick; son Mark Laramee and wife Luane; son Barry Laramee and wife Laura; son Steven Laramee and wife Joanne; daughter Michele Rugnetta and husband Michael; Ann also had 23 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She will be forever missed and always in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
There will be a visitation from 9:00 - 11:00 am Friday, July 8, 2016 at the funeral home.
