Obituary

Ann M. Lattanzio was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey to Frank A. and Mildred E. Lattanzio on May 18, 1951. She grew up in Woodbridge, New Jersey, where she attended and graduated from Woodbridge Senior High School in 1969.

A very energetic and caring person, Ann worked in real estate for most of her adult life, first in New Jersey and then in Florida, where she became licensed as a real estate agent and a community association manager. She managed several upscale condominium projects in Boca Raton and the Fort Lauderdale area over many years and became widely respected by her peers and beloved by the residents of the properties she managed.

Ann loved the sun and ocean and enjoyed walking on the beachand riding her bicycle on the boardwalk. She also became a good cook and loved Italian dishes and seafood. She made friends easily and was truly a joy to be around. Although she had no biological children of her own, she had a wonderful way with youngsters, as well as adults.

One of her great passions was volunteering with the Make-a-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to children with serious or terminal illnesses.  Ann devoted over 20 years of her life tofund-raising events and working directly with her "Wish Children" in the program.  Indeed, her life was marked by an unending willingness to help other people in any way she could.

In 2004 Ann joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in 2005, after a brief courtship, married Danny L.Ferguson.  Together they lived in Las Vegas (NV), Boca Raton (FL) and lastly in Boynton Beach (FL).  During their 15 years together, Ann and Danny were able to enjoy cruises to the Caribbean, to Ann's familial homeland of Italy, as well as a bus tour of Scotland.

Much to the sorrow of her family and many friends, Annunexpectedly passed away on April 8, 2020. She was pre-deceased by both her parents, and is survived by her brother Frank Lattanzio, her husband Danny, four step-children and three step-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Ann Lattanzio asks that donations be made to the Make a Wish foundation.
