On Thursday, July 25, 2019, Anna Sorresso, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at age 88. Anna was born on June 22, 1931 in Bitonto, Italy to Giuseppe and Barbara (Paparella) Albrizio. Anna married her true love, Francesco (Frank) Sorresso in Italy in 1948. There they had their first son, Dominick and second son Joseph who passed away at the age of 9 months shortly after Frank had immigrated to the United States. Anna left her parents and 3 sisters, Maria, Nella, and Franca and followed her husband to the United States with their son Dominick in 1953 by sea on the SS Andrea Doria. They lived in Brooklyn, NY where their third child Maria was born. They bought a home in Ozone Park, (Queens) NY where their youngest child Barbara was born.  Anna was a devoted wife and stay at home mom. She dedicated her life to raise her son and 2 daughters providing them with a warm and nurturing home.  Anna and Frank decided to move to sunny Florida in 1986 where they finally settled in Boynton Beach. Anna undeniably loved her children and grandchildren and would never stop showing everyone their photos. Her excitement and happiness when her family visited or she visited them was infectious. She loved to shop and occasionally dabbled in painting with watercolors.

Anna was preceded in death by her loving husband, her mother, and father and her sister Maria. She is survived by her son Dominick, his wife Sheila, their daughter Dominique and husband Justin Eaton and baby Aimes, their daughter Danielle and their son Michael. Anna is survived by her daughter Maria and husband Tony Sarcona, their son Tony, daughter Christina and fiancé Aaron Pratesi, daughter Michelle and fiancé Ryan Kasak. Anna is also survived by her daughter Barbara and husband Joseph LaRosa, son Joseph, daughter Brianna, many nieces and nephews both here and abroad.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2019, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Boynton Memorial Chapel.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019, at 11:45 am, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Entombment to follow at The Boynton Beach Mausoleum.
