Obituary

Troncone, Anthony Joseph, age 94, of Boynton Beach, died quietly on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, following a lengthy illness. Born in Naples, Italy, on May 18, 1918, he came to the U.S. with his parents in 1920. After settling in New York City, Anthony served in the U.S. Army from 1941 until 1943. He moved to Atlanta, GA, where he met his wife, Rita. They settled in Clovis, NM, following their marriage in 1956. In 1957 the couple moved to Rome, NY, where he worked as a CPA at the military base until he formed his own accounting company. Upon retirement in 1983, the Troncones moved to Boynton Beach. Anthony was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Disabled Veterans of America, and the Retired Federal Employees. He served as an usher for 25 years, as well as a Eucharistic Minister, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Boynton Beach. Anthony is survived by his wife Rita; his son Stephen; his grandson Joseph; his nephew Marino; and many nieces and nephews in Italy. He was preceded in death by his son Jerry and his sister Mary. A visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Sunday, December 16, at BONTON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 800 West Boynton Beach Boulevard, Boynton Beach, with a wake service at 4:30 PM. A funeral mass will be held 10 AM Monday, December 17, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Boynton Beach.
