Arthur Michael Evans, 77, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed peacefully in his sleep on September 20, 2017. Art was born to the late Zelmira Bouma and Michael Evans, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1940. He attended Carnegie Tech where he received his Bachelors degree. He went on to work for the Avalon school district, Boeing Corporation, General Electric and numerous other defense agencies while receiving his Masters degree from Syracuse University. He was an avid reader. A man who devoured the written word. His dry sense of humor will be missed as well as his unique story telling, which amused his family. He is missed by his son David Evans (Kim), daughters Lisa Rier (Matt), Janet Welt (Bruce) and his grandchildren Alexandra Evans, Emily Evans, Samantha Welt, Michelle Welt, Elizabeth Szulgit, Ashton Rier, Matthew Rier, and Nicolas Rier. Although his sister Madeline Lovejoy predeceased him, he is survived by his brothers John Evans, Michael Evans, David Evans, James Bouma and his sister Janet Bouma as well as his many nephews and nieces.
