Obituary

Benedetto Geraci, 82, of Boynton Beach (formerly of Brooklyn, NY), passed away the way he lived, surrounded by his family on October 4, 2017. Born on August 22, 1935 in Tunis, Tunisia, he was the seventh of ten children, of the late Benedetto and Pietrina Geraci.

He came to the United States when he was 16 years old. He spoke five languages, began his career in this country as a baker and gradually worked to become a labor foreman. The projects he was most proud of are the World Trade Center, South Street Seaport, and the Central Park Zoo.

He married the love of his life, with a "Notebook" romance, in 1956. Married 61 years, the life and family they built together was one he cherished, and he treasured every moment he spent with his wife, four daughters, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A dear friend to many and completely devoted to his family, he is survived by his loving wife Anne, adoring daughters, Michele, Patti and her husband Todd, Sandra and her fiancé Tim, AnnMarie and her husband Mike; grandfather of Kathi and her husband Greg, Thomas, Samantha, Christopher, Benny, Melissa, Megan, Justin, Luke, Alexa and Nikolas; great grandfather of Gregory, Jason and Julianna.

A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 12:30 pm at St. Thomas More, 10935 S Military Trail, Boynton Beach, FL 33436. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W Boynton Beach Blvd, Boynton Beach, Fl 33426 Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 3-7 pm.
