Age 91 of Boyton Beach, died Tuesday morning, May 17, 2011. He was born in Italy in 1920. In the 1950's, Benedetto moved his family for a better life to the United States where he became a construction engineer. He loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing and especially gardening. Benedetto was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Boynton Beach. He was predeceased by his wife, Ada; his first son, Antonio, in 1948 and a son-in-law, Charles Marino.
He is survived by a son, Antonio (Giovanna) Tomassi of Boca Raton, FL; a daughter, Roseanna Marino of Long Island, NY; a daughter, Antoinette (Herman) Tomassi-Matos of Boynton Beach, FL; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Friday, May 20, 2011 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Boynton Beach. A visitation will be held from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Thursday at Boynton Memorial Chapel, Boynton Beach. Entombment will take place at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL.
