Bernadette Marie Bautz, 72, stepped peacefully into Heaven on February 15th, 2009. A woman of great grace and beauty, Bernadette modeled a lifetime of loving her family and giving to others. Always with time to sit and listen, her godly life made a lasting impact on all who knew her, especially her own family. Always jolly and warm, she consistently displayed generosity, kindness, compassion, and gave abundant hugs and kisses. No one left her home hungry. Bernadette had great faith and battled cancer with unending courage.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Francis Sr., and their three sons and their families; Francis Jr., his wife Sheri, Gerard, his wife Denise, and Brian and his wife Beth, and her loving sister, Maureen Ryan. Bernadette's joy was in her grandchildren, Thor, Stephie Joy, Joshua, Hope, Cori, and Devin.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2009 from 6pm-8pm at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd. A mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 12pm at St. Thomas More Church, 10935 S. Military Trail, Boynton Beach. Interment to follow at the South Florida VA National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County; 5300 East Avenue; West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
