Beverley P. Gordon passed peacefully on December 22, 2022 in
Lake Worth, Florida at the age of 78. Beverley was born in
Kingston, Jamaica.
Beverley graduated from Mico Teachers College Kingston,
Jamaica in 1977.
In 1962 she entered the Stella Maris convent, where she was
the founding principal of the Stella Maris Preparatory School in
Jamaica.
In 1980 she received her certification as a Reading Difficulties &
Behavioral Specialist at Florida International University.
In 1983 she received her Degree of Bachelor of Science in
Special Education at Florida International University
In 1990 she received her Master of Science in Diagnostic
Teaching at Florida International University
In 1991 she was appointed Honorable membership in the
Society of Phi Kappa Phi charter at Florida International
University.
In 1995 she received her Degree in Educational Specialist in
Educational Leadership at Florida International University.

She is survived by sisters Pauline and Claudette, brothers
Michael and Clyde, sisters in law Judith and Winsome, brother-
in-law James. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins,
and friends.
Her lifelong passion included the education of young children in
reading. She was the most caring sister and friend as well as an
outstanding educator and will be greatly missed by all.

There will be a celebration of life in her honor immediately
after at 7883 Patriot Street until 3.00 pm please come and
share a memory or two.
