CARL J. SANTILLO, JR.

Age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 24, 2011.

Carl, the eldest of eight children, was born in Buffalo , NY to Carl Sr. and Rose Santillo. A resident of Boynton Beach , FL for the past thirty years, he was an avid golfer and bowler throughout his life. Carl was also an excellent chef and self-taught carpenter. His knowledge of automotive mechanics and engines was encyclopedic. Carl had been a volunteer fireman with the Volunteer Fire Company in Snyder , NY , and a healthcare volunteer in Florida . His one unrealized dream was to visit Italy , where his father and mother's family were born.

Carl is survived by Shirley, his beloved wife of fifteen years and her three children; by four of his seven siblings: Richard, Rosemary, Carmela and Lucy; by his daughter Marianne, with his first wife of fifty years, Rosemond; by Rosemond's daughter, Joan; by nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews – all of whom mourn Carl's loss.

Carl was cremated at Boynton Memorial Chapel. Memorial cards are available from the family. Contributions in Carl's name to St. Joseph 's Indian School , Chamberlain , SD 57326 will be greatly appreciated.
