Age 71, of Lake Worth, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2013. Carol was originally from Baltimore, MD. She was known for her kind heart and gentle spirit. Carol was the widow to George F. Baxter and has been reunited with the love of her life in heaven. Carol loved the ocean, collecting seashells and her only daughter Kelly who shared a very close bond.
She is survived by her daughter Kelly Baxter Merbler, her husband Brian Merbler and their two children- Evan Merbler and Cole Merbler-all of Palm Beach, FL.; and her brother Stafford Hayes and his wife Michelle Hayes of Towson, MD.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7pm Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd, Boynton Beach (561-734-5600). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County and the Alzheimer's Association.
