IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolee J.
Kribs
July 29, 1937 – January 25, 2021
Carolee Joan Kribs passed away on January 25, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born on July 29, 1937 in Rahway, NJ to Pauline and Wayne Granger being the oldest of five children. While growing up, she lived in New Jersey, Michigan and Maryland attending six different schools, graduating from Eastern High School in Baltimore, Maryland in 1956. Shortly thereafter, she married Alan Vanderwall and together they lived in New Jersey for several years before relocating to Boynton Beach, FL in 1965 with their two children, Alan (Butch), and Susan.
She married once again in 1977 to Kenneth Kribs who preceded her in death in 2005.
Carol spent 35 years working for the City of Boynton Beach, retiring in February of 2006. She filled her retirement years doing what she loved most – gardening in her yard, reading, dining out and enjoying game nights with friends, and most of all the many family vacations that she got to spend with her 2 children, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 4 siblings. She had an enormous love of animals taking in many stray cats throughout the years. She was also very giving to many charities being very compelled to give to those in need.
She is preceded in death by both of her husbands, Alan and Ken, her son, Alan (Butch) and one of her grandsons (Tyler Vanderwall). She is survived by her daughter, Susan Vanderwall Smith and husband Mark, along with their children Jennifer, Josh, Greg and Austin, great grandchildren Trenton, Paisley, Adalynne and Ryan, her daughter-in-law Michelle Vanderwall, along with her children Whitney and Mike, as well as her four siblings, JoAnne Granger Schertle, Wayne DeForest Granger, Mary Elizabeth Granger and Linda Granger Martin.
Given the current environment, there will be no services. Messages of condolence are welcomed at Boynton Memorial Chapel at https://www.boyntonmemorial.com/obits
As an expression of sympathy and in honor of her own generosity, we ask that memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that she will be reunited with those that preceded her in death. May she rest in peace.
