Obituary

Catherine Orrico, age 87, passed away peacefully on Friday January 26 th, 2018.  She was born on September 3 rd , 1930 in Jersey City, NJ to Pasquale and Irene Carfora. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Mario Orrico. Her daughter Eileen, her husband Bill and their two daughters, Lauren and Tracey.  Her Son John, his wife Brenda and their two sons, Anthony (AJ) and Nicholas. Her son Mario, his wife Vicky, their son Michael and his wife Erin and their three boys, Luca, Killian, and Macklin . Their daughter Valerie and her husband Joe and their two daughters, Eleanor and Tessa. Her daughter Cathy, her husband Frank and their children Stephen and Jennifer.  Her daughter Trish, her husband Steve and their two daughters Taylor and Peyton.

Catherine grew up in Jersey City, NJ and was the youngest sibling of five, three brothers, Frank, George and Phillip and one sister, Mary, all of who have pre-deceased her.

Growing up in the same apartment building, Catherine and Mario knew each other as children. On September 17 th , 1949, Catherine, age 19, married Mario and it would be the beginning of their beautiful life together. Their five children were all born in Jersey City and that's were they raised them until they moved to Boca Raton, Florida in 1973.

Catherine was always a loving and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.  She was always there for her family no matter what and supported them in every way unconditionally.  She was a very unselfish person and always put her family first before her own needs. Her joy was to talk to each one of her children every day to hear about their lives and their families. Not a day went by without talking to them. With five married children, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren…her family was her world.

She was also a good friend to many. She loved shopping, going to lunch, going to the beach (in the early years) with her friends. She was a great Italian cook and was happiest when her house was filled with the love of family and friends.

Catherine was a devout Catholic and was a strong women of faith. In her last days she would feel angels tickling her feet and the arms of Jesus around her.  She was an elegant women that was always so well dressed and showed so much grace. Catherine was loved by every one she met and will truly be missed.  She was an Angel on Earth and we know she will be our Angel in Heaven watching over us.
