Charles A. Franco, 83, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Paterson, NJ, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2008. Charles was a Navy veteran of World War II. He retired from the Paterson Police Department in 1984 and moved to South Florida in 1986. Charles is predeceased by his grandson Charles Maclaus Piekara. He is survived by his wife Giovanna; children Dr. Charles (Suzanne) Franco, Providence (Dean) Piekara, and Chief Frank (Luisa) Franco; grandchildren Charles (Tyler), Louis and Julianna Franco; Jennifer (Kenneth) Harris, Dean Jr. and Stephen (Vanessa) Piekara; Frank Jr., Brianna, and Christopher Franco; and great grandchildren Alexander Charles Harris, Ella Nicole Harris, and Collette Franco. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33426. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 10:00am at St. Mark RC Church. Interment will follow at Boynton Beach Memorial Park.
