IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Christopher Michael
Brown
May 13, 1981 – October 4, 2019
Christopher Michael Brown, age 38, passed away on October 4th after a valiant five-year battle with cancer. Born May 13 in Babylon, NY, Chris moved to South Florida when he was a baby. He was an inquisitive child, always wanting to understand how things worked and could often be found taking things apart and putting them back together. In his teens, this fascination grew to include cars and Chris was the man when it came to engines with an expert level in Honda.
He met his soul mate, Tracey Blake, in Jan 2000. They were married in Delray Beach in November 2005 and in the ensuing years Chris became a father to two beautiful children, Shelby & Kyle - truly the greatest pleasure and accomplishment in his life.
From a very early age, Chris knew he wanted to be a teacher and he worked tirelessly towards that goal until late 2011 when he joined the PB County School District after graduating from FAU with a Bachelor's degree; first as a substitute teacher and then as a Congress middle school gifted science and math teacher in January 2012. "Mr. Brown" was an exceptional role model for his students and colleagues, his passion demonstrated every day as he taught the subject matter but also inspired them to think and grow.
Chris will be remembered most for his quick smile, deep and abiding friendships, the kindness and help he showed to everyone he encountered, and his unwavering positive outlook on life.
He is survived by his wife Tracey, his children Shelby & Kyle, mother Carol Brown, brother James Brown, sisters Kim Bohannon & Jessica Brown, in-laws George & Barbara Blake, several nieces and nephews, extended family, hundreds of friends, colleagues, and countless former students,
Flowers can be sent to the chapel for service. However,
in lieu of flowers and knowing Chris's passion for learning and teaching, the family asks that you donate to the children's Florida prepaid college funds set up for Shelby and Kyle at

Much love and thanks to family, friends, colleagues, community, and students.
