Dale Marie Girot, 79, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away on May 3, 2026. Dale was born on December 1, 1946, in Paterson, New Jersey, to David and Dolores Leishman.

Growing up, Dale attended DePaul Diocesan High School in Wayne, New Jersey, where she especially enjoyed playing basketball and spending time at the beach with her best friend, Jackie. She shared a close bond with her brothers, Gregory, David, and Kenneth.

In 1966, Dale married Edward Jones in Wayne, New Jersey. Together they shared 11 years of marriage and welcomed a beautiful daughter, Jennifer.

On March 29, 1995, Dale married James Westpahl Girot in West Palm Beach, Florida. They enjoyed 31 years of marriage surrounded by a growing and loving family.

Throughout her life, Dale built a successful career in the insurance industry, working in both New Jersey and Florida with State Farm Insurance and later in Florida with Cornelius, Johnson & Clark. After 40 years, she retired as Senior Vice President for Personal Lines at Wells Fargo.

Outside of work, Dale loved traveling abroad, playing tennis, and could rarely be found without a favorite book in hand. She especially cherished time spent entertaining her three grandchildren and five nieces.

Dale is survived by her devoted husband, James; her daughter, Jennifer; her brothers, Gregory, David, and Kenneth; and her beloved grandchildren, Alex, Dylan, and Collin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dolores and David.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Juliana Catholic Church at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will follow at 5:30 p.m. on May 23rd at The Beach Club at Lake Worth Golf Club, 1 7th Avenue North, Lake Worth Beach, Florida.
