Daniel D. "Ranger" Steele, 63, died on December 26, 2017 at his home in Boynton Beach, FL surrounded by loved ones.

Danny was born November 13, 1954 in Queens, NY and moved to Florida in 1969. He became a firefighter/paramedic in 1975 and served the City of Margate for 36 years retiring as a Battalion Chief in 2011. He also served terms as union president and was very active in politics. Dan loved fishing, card playing, antiquing and road trips with his wife and being a loving father and wonderful, attentive grandfather.

Dan is survived by his wife, Linda of Boynton Beach, daughter, Meaghan (Roger) White of Boynton Beach, grandchildren, Journey Michaela and Roger Daniel, mother, Bernice Steele of Wellington, brothers, Peter (Valerie) of Wellington and Brian (Debbie) Steele of Coral Springs, and sisters, Eileen Fitzgerald of Orlando and Karen (Jeff) Michlowitz of Alabama as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Dan will be greatly missed. His memory will always carry on in our hearts.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Boynton Memorial Chapel at 800 W Boynton Beach Blvd. Boynton Beach, FL,. 33426. The Rev. Fr. Paul J. Schweinler will officiate.
