David Richard Showalter, 69, was born on June 4, 1948 in Huntington, IN and passed away on January 29, 2018 in Boynton Beach, FL, where he and his family moved to in 1986.

Dave spent his career in banking and retired as a vice president from Suntrust. After retiring, he enjoyed working part time for Ace Hardware.

Dave had a deep love of Indiana University basketball, and also of golf, fishing, and cooking on his grill. He was a longtime member of Jaycee's and Masonic Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Rumer), his children Steve (Sherry) Showalter and Cristy (Jose) Jordan, his sister Ellen (Eric) Decker, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and 10 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Dick and Nadine Showalter.

A Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm Friday, February 2, 2018 at Boynton Memorial Chapel, Boynton Beach.  A Funeral Service will be held 1pm Tuesday, February 3, 2018 at Boynton Memorial Chapel followed by interment at Boynton Beach Memorial Park.
