Deborah "Debbie" A Showalter, 74 of Boynton Beach, FL went to be with the Lord on September 28th, 2025 surrounded by family. Debbie was born on November 9th, 1950 in Vincennes, Indiana to Judith and Samuel Rumer. She attended Shelbyville Senior High School in Shelbyville, Indiana. She was the oldest of 4 and had a close bond with her siblings.

On April 18th, 1970, Debbie married Dave Showalter- the love of her life. Together they shared almost 50 years of marriage and had two children, Steve and Cristy. In 1986, they moved from Illinois to Florida.

Debbie's focus was her family and building the legacy she has left behind. She loved to keep busy, if it wasn't spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, it was coloring on her phone while watching crime shows and Hallmark movies. She enjoyed telling family stories that have been passed down, cracking jokes and sharing life experiences.

Debbie is survived by her mother, Judy, her sister Sharon, her brother Michael (Laura), her children Cristy and Steve (Sherry), her grandchildren Catlin (Tyrell), Ricky (Bree), Payton, Brendan, Tyler and Max as well as her great grandchildren Audrey, Nora and Emmett.

She was preceded in death by her father Samuel, her husband Dave and her brother Steve.

A memorial service will be held on October 3rd from 5pm-8pm at Boynton Memorial Chapel.
