Diana Jean Lange Dennis, 86, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2026.
Diana was born March 13, 1940, in New Jersey, the daughter of the late Russell and Adeline (Weffald) Lange. She grew up in Chatham, New Jersey, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Temple University. She taught elementary school in Pennsylvania before leaving the classroom to devote herself to raising her three children. She later continued her teaching career in New York and Florida.
In 1994, Diana moved from New York to Florida to care for her parents, a devoted daughter through the end of their lives. She was an active and faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Boynton Beach, where she treasured many close friendships, and previously of Lynwood Reformed Church in Guilderland, New York. For many years she volunteered with the Boynton Beach Historical Society and the Boynton Beach City Library.
Diana loved walking on the beach and was rarely without a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle in progress.
She is survived by her children, Christina L. Dennis, Heather M. Bosko, and Patrick L. Dennis; her grandchildren, Maggie, Miles, Chase, John, Hunter, and Hawke; and her great-grandson, Marlow. She leaves her dear childhood friend, Jane Lyons, whose friendship she treasured all her life and her close friends from church, Sara, Amalie, Cathy and Susan with whom she celebrated the treasured bi-annual birthday lunches. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, June Lumb.
Diana's family would like to extend a special thank-you to her nurses, Jasmine, Falana, Yvanessa, Annmarie, and Zuzana; her care managers, Debbie and Jennifer; and Dr. Benjamin Diamond of the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, along with Faika, Priscila, Geraldine, and Diana.
A visitation will be held from 4:00pm- 6:00pm on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Boynton Memorial Chapel.
A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00pm on Friday, July 10th, at First Presbyterian Church of Boynton Beach.
Diana will be laid to rest privately at Boynton Beach Memorial Park and Mausoleum.
