Obituary

Donald James Adam Bollenbacher of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on June 20, 2008. Don is survived by his wife Robin; five children: Diana Ward of Palm Beach Gardens, Ronald (Sarah) Bollenbacher of Boynton Beach, Kim (George) Baldry of Gainesville, Carol (James) DeGerome of Lantana, and Gail (Greg) Phenerger of Vero Beach; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by his son, Stephan in 1980. Donald was a World War II veteran, who served on the aircraft carrier Antietam. He flew a Corsair fighter bomber and also was a test pilot. After leaving the service, he moved to Florida and started Bollenbacher Trucking, serving Palm Beach County for forty years. A committal service and military tribute will be held on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 9:00am at the South Florida VA National Cemetery in Lake Worth. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, Southeast Florida Chapter, P.O. Box 22594, West Palm Beach, FL 33416.
