Donald John Brach II, 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 3 ^rd , 2018 surrounded by his family at his home in Boynton Beach, Florida. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Scheitz), to whom he was married 41 years.

Born in Chicago, IL, he was a son of the late Donald Brach and Lauraine (Hurst) Schneider and a longtime resident of Palatine, IL. He had a strong passion for the outdoors and being with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Coral Phillips-Young of Wauconda, IL; Jessica (David) Banks of Oakland Park, FL; Rachel (Matt) Jordan of Pompano Beach, FL; Nathan (Kristin) Brach of Merritt Island, FL. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Dempsey, Kessler, Logan, Tyler, Dylan, Emma, Ella and Madelyn.

He was the dear brother of David (Sandra), Lisa, Julie and Jim.

During Don's treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center, Don and Sue stayed at the Hope Lodge where it was like a home away from home.  Therefore in lieu of flowers the family request that any donations be made in Don's name to: American Cancer Society, Hope Lodge Tampa, FL.

A memorial service is being arranged for early April in Illinois.
