Donald "Bucky" Drotar
February 7, 1935 – June 8, 2009

Life long Green Bay packer fan, Donald "Bucky" Drotar 74, of Atlantis, FL passed on June 8, 2009 in his home, from a long difficult battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeport, CT., to Stephen and Helen Drotar. He graduated from Newtown High School in 1953. Met his wife Lillian in Connecticut and raised four children. Worked in the steel business since 1954 & belonged to Iron Workers Union Local 424. Worked for Leake & Nelson for over 30 years before moving to Florida in 1984 to open Composite Systems Inc. with oldest son Donald Drotar, Jr. During football season you could always find him at his 2nd home in Greenbay, WI cheering on the PACK. So many will miss his brats at the tailgate parties. He was a member of Atlantis Golf Club, enjoying a good game from time to time. He also would never pass up a flight on the B17 bombers with the Collings Foundation. His loving wife of 54 years, Lillian A. Drotar, survives him, along with 4 children: Donald Drotar Jr. of Boynton, Ronald Drotar of Connecticut, John Drotar of West Palm Beach and Daughter Kimberly Drotar of Boynton. Nine grandchildren also survive him ages ranging from 9 to 31.
