Dorothy Ranches Dowdell
Of Boynton Beach FL., at the age of 89, passed away on March 1,2014. She was born in Rochester, NY. Predeceased by her husband Donald Dowdell of 35 years, her brother James Michael Ranches her niece Kelly Ranches Shields and sister Florence (Ranny) Leckinger Dorothy worked for the New York Secretary of State for over 25 years. She was a life long member and volunteered with St. Stanislus Church in Rochester, NY until she moved to Florida. She was also a member of St. Vincent Ferrer Parish of Delray Beach FL. and was a member of the choir. She is survived by her nieces Jaquelyn Ranches, Cristie Ranches, Beth Ellen Ranches and great niece Alexandria Litton and nephews Jeffrey, Callen, Christopher and Scott Leckinger. Her dear friends, Dottie Scorsone, Denise Chamberlin, Rod Frank, Wanda Shilling, Norma and Harold Cheney, and Godchild Christa Miner. Burial will be held in Boyton Beach at the convenience of the family.
