Edward C Raczkowski, 96, died Friday March 6 at Lakeview Care Center after a brief
illness.
Ed leaves behind his daughter Barbara; son-in-law Robert: Grandson Craig and his partner Jennifer
Noymer and Ed's Great Granddaughter Maren Rose: Granddaughter Melissa: Grandson Sean: loving
nieces and nephews and many close friends. Ed is predeceased by his 4 sisters.
Ed was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. Growing up through the depression years Ed joined the
Navy and served in the Pacific during WWII. When he returned stateside Ed took turns performing many
a different odd job to make ends meet while also funding his fun loving bachelor lifestyle.
In 1950 Ed met Antionette Truscio , whom he subsequently married in July, 1951. "Nettie" and "Eddie"
remained dedicated to each other throughout the next 54 years, raising their daughter Barbara in the
same Bronx that they grew up in.
He was a lifelong handyman who loved tinkering with and creating any and all gadgets, from electronics
to plumbing to, even in his 80's, computers. A man with a curious mind, gifted fingers, and endless
energy Ed helped everyone fix, patch and upgrade everything in the home and automobile. Everyone
appreciated Ed's help and he was appropriately referred to as "Tool Man Ed".
In the early 80's grandchildren came along. Ed loved to visit, play and rough house as the situation
dictated. Bob and Barbara always welcomed the visits and usually had "a thing or two" taken care of
and repaired during each visit.
In the late 80's Ed and Nettie decided to relocate to Delray Beach Florida where they reconnected with
family, made new friends and nurtured old relationships. Oft times visited by their grandchildren
Grandma and Grandpa reveled in the attention and affection.
A funeral service will be held March 10, 2020  at 11 A.M. at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach
Blvd.,  Boynton Beach. Internment will follow at Boynton Beach Mausoleum, 1611 S. Seacrest Blvd.,
Boynton Beach.
