Eileen was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 20, 1930 to Katherine (Von Hulse) and Harry Norman. She married the love of her life, Donald Skelly, on August 9, 1952. Eileen worked for the Williamsburg Savings Bank and New York Telephone before her marriage to Don. Eileen and Donald raised a large loving family of seven children: Kathleen (James Sullivan), Patrick (Laura), Kevin (Mary), Brian (Elaine), Maureen (Michael Anderson), Sean (Patricia), and Colleen (Peter Jacques). Eileen and Don also have 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Eileen leaves behind a wonderful legacy of family and friendships, dating from her years in Brooklyn, NY; Mahopac, NY; West Palm Beach, FL; Fort Pierce, FL; and Boynton Beach, FL. Eileen will be remembered for her caring nature, her quick wit and sense of humor, her wonderful cooking, and for the love she gave selflessly and unconditionally to family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Donald, her parents, Katherine and Harry, her brothers Edward, Richard and Frederick, and her grandson, Michael. Eileen passed peacefully on May 21, 2017, with her family by her side. Eileen was a faithful Roman Catholic, and attended the Holy Mass every day. Her family is comforted by the fact that she is in Heaven with her loved ones. Visitation hours will be held at Boynton Memorial Chapel, Boynton Beach, FL. from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Boynton Beach on Thursday, May 25th at 10:30 am. Internment will follow at White City Cemetery, Fort Pierce, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County (TrustBridge).
