IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elie T.
Ghostine
May 18, 1940 – February 13, 2024
Elie Tanios Ghostine, a great man, left us tragically on February 13, 2024. Elie is survived by his beloved wife Therese Ghostine of Delray Beach, FL, his son Paul, his daughter-in-law Debra, and his pride and joy grandchildren Joseph and Sarah of Boca Raton, FL.
A giant among giants, Elie was born in Beirut Lebanon and moved to the United States in 1986. He celebrated a thirty-three-year career with Middle East Airlines before running his own business Profile Travel and Tours for another thirty years in DC, VA and FL. Although far from being a politician himself, starting at a young age, Elie was entrenched in the politics of his beloved Lebanon. He was a confidant and advisor to many of the country's leaders including the late President. He survived two assassination attempts and a brief exile. He longed for and worried about his motherland but loved his adoptive country.
He was a loving father to his late son Peter, a devoted son and brother, an adoring husband, a beloved father and grandfather, and a friend to many. His passion, compassion, and powerful presence will be sorely missed every day.
A memorial service to honor Elie is being held on March 10th at 1:00 PM at St. Nicolas Melkite Greek Catholic Church – 5715 Lake Ida Road, Delray Beach, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests your consideration of a small donation to the church. Make your donation here.
