IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elisabeth Lawrence
Cromwell
May 21, 1964 – June 1, 2021
Elisabeth Lawrence Cromwell
On June 1, Lisa Cromwell of Lantana, Florida passed away at the age of 57 at JFK Memorial Hospital from post-surgery complications.
Lisa was born on May 21, 1964 at Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington DC. She was pre-deceased by her parents, James & Barbara Cromwell. Her surviving family includes her two amazing adult sons – David James and his wife Marissa and their soon-to-be-born daughter Loretta "Lettie" Leigh James, and Christopher "Topher" James. She had two brothers, Jim Cromwell and his wife Judy, and Dave Cromwell and his wife Stephanie. Lisa had 16 nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Lisa grew up in Rockville, Maryland. She attended the Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, and graduated from Wootton High School in Rockville. She went on to attend Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre in West Virginia, which prepared her for an early equine career. Lisa loved horses and rode her entire life. She managed several stables in Montgomery County, Maryland, and worked as a veterinarian technician. Lisa loved animals and bred Jack Russell Terriers for many years.
In 2015, Lisa moved to her permanent home in Lantana, Florida. It was here that she touched so many lives, and found her true calling in life - mentoring people who were recovering from addiction. Her easy way with people, and straightforward approach to counseling, made her an amazing coach and mentor to so many. As a friend, she treated you like family. And as a member of her family, she loved you unconditionally. She was and will forever be remembered by her passion for life and gentle, caring nature.
The family will receive friends and loved ones at a viewing this Saturday, June 5 th between 3:00 – 4:00pm at Boynton Memorial Chapel , 800 W. Boynton Beach Boulevard, Boynton Beach, Florida 33426. A memorial service will follow immediately at the same location, beginning at 4:00pm.
