Elizabeth Jones Mettler, age 64, passed away on March 22, 2011. She was born in Troy, NY on July 9, 1946 to Louise Farley Jones and Edward Stewart Jones.
Liz graduated from Emma Willard in Troy, NY and received her bachelor's degree in merchandising from Denver Women's College after spending her first two years at the University of Miami. She spent the last 33 years of her life in Florida, including the last 25 years in Delray Beach and Boynton Beach. In between attending her children's school plays, sporting events and numerous other activities, Liz enjoyed working at J.B. Smith & Co. as well as Kientzy & Co. Jewelry Stores.
Liz is survived by her two children, Christina Farley Mettler and Peter Wyckoff Mettler Jr.; twin sister, Cynthia (Malcolm) Hirsh; brothers, Stewart (Kimberly) Jones and Farley (Betsy) Jones; and many life-long friends.
A Memorial Service will be held 2pm, Sunday, April 3, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church, Delray Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International. www.jdrf.org
