Elliott Michael Rabin

August 13, 1945 – November 3, 2023

"What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others."

Elliott Michael Rabin, cherished son of Geraldine "Ghita" Boccia and Herbert Rabin, was born on August 13, 1945, in Bronx, NY. He was the older brother of two siblings, Diane Cavanagh and Todd Rabin. Growing up, Elliott was very close with his family and grandparents and fondly recounted memories of his time with them.

In 1986, Elliott married Kelly with whom he shared 37 wonderful years. "KELLIOTT," as people knew them, were true partners and worked together as a team throughout their marriage. Together, they raised a family in a loving home, supported their community, and travelled the world visiting over 33 countries.

Elliott was a proud father to Garrett, Chancé, James and Adriana, and 6 grandchildren: Madison, Sydney, Hunter, Henry, Vincent and Matthew. As a father, the greatest gift he gave his children was to believe in them.  Elliott was also very close with his nephew and niece, Jon and Pamela, with whom he loved spending time.

Elliott served honorably in the United States Air Force during Vietnam, going on to have a distinguished career in the Aviation Industry. Over his 43-year career Elliott worked for National Airlines, Pan American Airlines and finally retired after 19 years at Boeing. As a Quality Control Manager in aviation, he dedicated his career to ensuring the safety of others.

After retiring to Florida, he devoted nearly 10 years of his retired life to helping and working in his community. He took great pride in his position as a member of his community Board, including serving as its President.

Elliott will be remembered as a man who loved deeply and believed that family was the ultimate gift in life. He was an incredibly kind, compassionate, and hardworking man who listened more than he spoke and always gave more than he took. He will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Although no funeral service is scheduled, a celebration of life is being planned for Elliott. If you would like to honor Elliott's memory, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Close your eyes Dad, for now you rest in the arms of angels.
