Obituary

Emily Anne Caulk of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, formerly of Litchfield, Illinois, and the Florida Keys, passed away unexpectedly January 27, 2022 at the age of 26 after a long and valiant battle with addiction. Emily was born on March 9, 1995 at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Emily is survived by her Husband, Jaden Storms; Mother, Becky J. Caulk of Boynton Beach, Florida; her Father, James V. Smith of Plant City, Florida; her Grandmother, Janet Caulk, of Boynton Beach, Florida; her Aunt, Uncle and Cousin, Amy, Jeffrey, and Audrey Lee of Manalapan, Florida. Emily is predeceased by her Grandfather, Edwin L. Caulk of Litchfield, Illinois.

Emily was a small-town girl at heart with small-town values, gregarious by nature and generous almost to a fault, having, on more than one occasion, paid for treatment for others to help them with the battle she was fighting herself. She attended Litchfield Senior High School and American School of Lansing, Illinois to achieve her Diploma. She attended Palm Beach State College with the goal of becoming a therapist. She wanted to use her own personal experience to help others who shared her struggle.

She was a gifted singer and writer. She loved to read and paint. Emily was passionate about animals. She especially loved her dogs, Bloomer, Roscoe, and Lou; but she never met an animal she didn't love.

Emily loved to laugh and was known for her sense of humor and quick wit. She was beautiful inside and out; but it was her huge heart and perseverance that truly made her stand out. She will be forever missed by her very large extended family, as well as the many friends she made throughout her lifetime.

The family is planning a private service to honor her very special life. In Remembrance of Emily's life, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, charitable donations be made to the non-profit treatment program at CARP, Inc., 1626 Old Okeechobee Rd., West Palm Beach, Florida 33401; the Big Dog Ranch Rescue, 14444 Okeechobee Blvd, Loxahatchee Groves, Florida 33470; or Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, New York 10306.
