Eric Neil Lachmansingh, 86 years old, born in Guyana, South America, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2017 at Bethesda East Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Halima, his son Jharon Silva (Ariane), West Hartford, Conn., nephews Kim Lachmansingh, Norfolk, Va., Retna Lachmansingh (Arceli), Los Angeles, Ca., Ranji Lachmansingh, New York, NY., nieces Pat Wailoo (Walter), Ontario, Can., Ann Weiss and Elizabeth Lachman, Albertville, Al., Cheryl Archer, Oakland, Ca and Rosanna Schroeder (Ben), San Francisco, Ca. Visitation with the family will take place on Friday, January 20, 2017 @ 11 a.m followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. A private cremation will take place at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, Tampa, Fla.
