Mr. Evans Moore Clements, Jr., died on February 2, 2016 in Boynton Beach, Florida at the age of 74.
Evans is survived by wife, Barbara, son Evans M. Clements, III (Pamela), daughter Ashley MacLachlan of Nashville, Tennessee, step-daughter Elizabeth Bayless (Jim) of Austin, Texas, Barbara Schaeffer (George) of Charlotte, NC, brother and sister-in-law Marvin and Patricia Clements of Nashville and grandchildren Langley Clements, Hannah MacLachlan, Hayden MacLachlan, and Grace MacLachlan of Nashville, James (Janice) Mormondo of Atlanta, and Emerson Schaeffer of Charlotte, NC. Nephews, Marvin (Mary) Clements, Jr. of Nashville, Scott Clements of Houston, Texas, and Richard McMackin of San Francisco. He is preceded in death by his parents, Evans and Jane Clements, and sister Jane McMackin.
Evans was born on May 21, 1941 in Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1960. He attended the University of Arizona. Evans worked for Third National Bank on Nashville. In 1970, he started Kwik Change in Orlando, Florida. He moved to Aspen, Colorado in 1972 where he built condominiums and ranched. In 1979, Evans moved to Delray Beach, Florida and was a realtor for Koch Realty.
A long-time member of the Gulf Stream Bath and Tennis Club, Evans served as President 2005-2007 and on the Board of Directors from 2000 to 2007. He was also a member of the Quail Ridge Golf and Tennis Club and The Country Club of Florida.
Evans was an avid and accomplished golfer and played for years in the annual Coconut Cup tournament with friends. He also enjoyed hunting, shooting, deep-sea fishing, and snow skiing. Evans loved and was loved by his friends especially his fellow members of the Richland Creek Commerce Association.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, February 8, 2016 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 188 South Swinton Avenue, Delray Beach. Those who wish may make contributions to the charity of your choice in his memory. Boynton Memorial Chapel, Boynton Beach, is in charge of arrangements.
