Evelyn Marie Fox was born in Brooklyn NY on Christmas Eve 1932. She spent the vast majority of her life in Brooklyn where she worked as a paraprofessional in the NYC public school system.  She married a handsome sailor, John Richard Fox whose life was cut short leaving her a widow.

Evelyn and John had three children, James, Terry, and Michael who are the source of her 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who were Evelyn's delight.

She quietly passed away on September 6th, 2022 surrounded by family and will be reunited in repose with her beloved John at Calverton Memorial Cemetery. The family will be having a private memorial. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her memory to St Jude Children Hospital, first among many charities she generously supported.
