Obituary

Everett George Conklin, age 81, of Boynton Beach, FL and formerly of Rutherford, NJ, passed away at home on May 1, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann (Alpisa) in 1974, and sister Patricia (Conklin) Clinton in 2004. He was born on September 3, 1932 to Everett and Ruth (Purick) Conklin.

Everett is survived by his sister Betty Jane (Conklin) Baxter and husband William of Ann Arbor MI, and his three children: Robert Conklin and wife Grace of Paterson, NJ; Janet Conklin of Clifton, NJ; and Everett Charles Conklin of Clifton, NJ. He was the proud grandfather of Tyler and Jesse Conklin of Paterson, NJ.

Everett worked in the horticultural industry most of his life. He loved the outdoors and especially any ocean activities. He was known in the Boynton Beach area as a photographer and stained glass artist, having won awards at the McMow glass studio in Lake Worth.

Everett was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and graduated with a BS degree from Cook College at Rutgers University, 1955. He served as a Captain with the US Army.

A memorial gathering will be held from 6-8PM, Wednesday May 7th at Boynton Memorial Chapel, www.boyntonmemorial.com . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
