Mrs. Pignato, age 85, received God's promised reward on November 5, 2010. She was born in Lexington, Kentucky, on September 17, 1925. In 1932 her parents moved to Florida and in 1938 they made permanent residence in Delray Beach. Fran graduated from Delray High School and later from Florida Atlantic University with a masters degree in business education. She worked in an accounting department of three different businesses located in Delray Beach and was a teacher in the business department of Seacrest/ Atlantic high school. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Delray Beach, serving as a teacher of children for over forty years, two years as Director of Little Friends Kindergarten, three terms as WMU President as well as being involved in other ministries of the church. She served twice as president of the Delray Beach Zonta Club, an organization for business women. She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, James Pignato.
Four children, Jim Pignato, Mary Alice Underwood, Betty Jo Goss and Tom Pignato. Five grandchildren, Jeff Pignato, Jacqueline Pignato Vause, Jennifer Goss, Joshua Underwood and Caleb Underwood. Four great grandchildren, Jacob Pignato, Elisabeth Pignato, Lydia Pignato and Jordan Goss. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, you may make a gift to First Baptist Church of Delray Beach.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, November 13, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Delray Beach.
