Obituary

Francis Xavier Nihill was born on January 19, 1942, in Providence, Rhode Island and died on September 19, 2019, in Boca Raton, Florida. He was the oldest son of the late Harold Bates Nihill and Ursula Flynn Nihill. He was predeceased by his brother Dennis Bates Nihill. He is survived by his wife Cathy Nihill, his brother Harold Brian Nihill and his wife Arlene Perlow Nihill, his sister Meryl Nihill Santopietro and her husband George Louis Santopietro. He is also survived by his nephew Dennis Bates Nihill, Jr. and his nieces Laura Santopietro, Joy Santopietro DiNapoli, and Alessandra Santopietro.
He graduated from Warwick Veterans High School and Providence College in 1965 with a major in Economics. Upon graduation, he worked for the Federal Government in Defense Contracting for twenty years and then went on to own and operate an Allstate Insurance Agency in Seattle, Washington. Frank was a world traveler and has been a resident of the state of Florida for the past twenty years. He was a devout Roman Catholic and an active participant in his church community at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Delray.
He will be dearly missed.

A Visitation will be held from 9 am to 10 am Thursday, September 26, 2019, at  Boynton Memorial Chapel.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Delray Beach.

Interment will take place at St. Ann's  Catholic Cemetery in Cranston, Rhode Island.
