Beloved Square Dance Caller
Frank passed away after a long and courageous fight with cancer on November 16, 2007
He was preceded in death by his wives Shirley and Connie. He is survived by his children, Sharon, Marty, Doug, Rusty, Kevin, Sheila and Gloria, 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Betty Anderson of Detroit and his loving and devoted Companion, Betty Krakehl of Boynton Beach.
Frank was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1926. He served as a Sea Bee in the US Navy in WWII and was a decorated veteran, having been wounded on Guam during his enlistment in the Pacific Theater.
Following in his father's footsteps he later served along side his Dad in law enforcement
As a Detroit Police Officer.
Frank worked as a Square Dance Caller for over 50 years and called for several clubs in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. With his beautiful singing voice and wonderful sense of humor he put smiles on all the faces of those that he touched while they danced the night away. His students frequently referred him to as "Mr. Patience" in his teaching programs for square dancers.
A Funeral Service will be held 12:30 pm Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Boynton Memorial chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach. A visitation will be held from 10:30am until the time of service. Interment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens.
