Fred A. Rhoads, Sr., of Eustis, Florida, passed away, Sunday, September 15, 2013 in Tavares, Florida after a long illness. He was born August 4, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois. He worked in the Chicago area for many years until he retired to Boynton Beach, Florida in 1978. He was married to Helen P. Rhoads in 1937, and they enjoyed 59 happy years together until Helen died in 1997. In 2007, Fred moved to Eustis, Florida, and lived there until his death.
He is survived by his son Paul (Kathy) Rhoads, of Eustis, Florida, his grandsons Brian (Nicole) Rhoads of Oswego, Illinois, Brent (Wendy) Rhoads of Cortland, Illinois, four great grandchildren, Isabel and Aayla Rhoads of Cortland, Illinois, and Dakota and Tyler Rhoads of Oswego, Illinois. He is also survived by his close friend, Ann Morgan of Boynton Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen P. Rhoads, and his son, Fred A. Rhoads, Jr.
A Funeral Service will be held 11am Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Boynton Memorial Chapel with visitation beginning at 10am. Interment will follow at the Boynbton Beach Memorial Park.
