Fritz Piton was born on March 12th 1933 in city of Port-au-Prince, Haiti to Idalia Cherie and Robert Piton. Growing up, soccer was a sport Fritz enjoyed to watch and even play. Fritz competed his schooling in Haiti before migrating to the US in 1982. He spent his working years as a chef at Manhattanville University in Harrison, NY. Being the oldest out of his siblings, Fritz took on the caregiver role, taking care of his siblings and his niece.

Fritz was a very quiet and gentle man. Dressing up in his finest and looking sharp when the occasion presented. He was a devoted catholic, singing praises and praying up until his last breath. Fritz had a sense of humor that was magical. From telling jokes all the time, to always smiling, the aura he brought into a room was undeniable. He had nick names for everyone, unique to each person.

Out of his siblings, Yolande (deceased), Marie-Lourdes(deceased), Ginette (deceased), he leaves behind George and Evelyn, who reside in Canada. Fritz also leaves behind a daughter, Ginette, who resides in Haiti. Fritz also is leaving behind nieces and nephews: Elsie, Nathalie, Wendy, Alexandra, Brandon, Leslie, Rebecca, Naomi, Kelley, Anise, and Natasha.

We thank God that he is not in pain or suffering anymore, but his memory will live in our minds and hearts forever. He will truly be missed by family and friends, and his legacy will continue.

A visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm Friday, July 10, 2026 at Boynton Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Saturday, July 11, 2026 at St. Luke Catholic Church, Lake Worth followed by burial at Palm Beach Memorial Park.
