Age 54 of Boynton Beach passed away peacefully January 28, 2016. Born and raised in Delray Beach, Gena graduated from Atlantic High School in 1979. She was preceded in death by her father, Leon M. Weekes. Those left to cherish Gena's memory are her two daughters who she loved to the moon and back, Elizabeth (Alex) Hinds and Allison Stephenson; two granddaughters who were her pride and joy, Carleigh Hinds and Kendall Lawson; her mother, Harriett Weekes; her life long companion, John Stephenson; three brothers, Lee (Sheri), John (Annette) and Greg (Pam); and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 11am Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach. The family will receive friends beginning at 10am Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (ww5.komen.org).
