On Sunday, June 13, 2021, George Annunziato, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away at the age of 84 in Boynton Beach, Florida.
George was born on July 26, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to Gennaro and Rosa Annunziato. George served his country as a helicopter mechanic and Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps before becoming an entrepreneur owning businesses in Brooklyn and South Ozone Park, NY. On January 17, 1960, he married Lucille Annunziato (born Franzese.) They raised a daughter, Jeannine.
George had a passion for service. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the Bushwick Lions Club where he received the Melvin Jones Award. He would always go out of his way to help someone in need.
One of George's favorite things to do was to watch old cowboy movies, especially the ones with John Wayne. When he wasn't rooting for James Arness to protect Dodge City he was taking his daughter fishing, his grand children golfing, or his great grandchildren to the pool and the Wetlands. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
George is survived by his wife Lucille, his daughter, Jeannine and William (Brent), his two grandsons (Joseph, William and Jennifer Brent), and three great grandchildren (Kyla, Chasen, and Rylan Brent).
Visitation will be held at Boynton Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 2pm to 4pm and then from 6pm to 8pm.
