Age 94, George F. Burns, Jr. of Boynton Beach, FL and Manhasset, NY, passed away peacefully in his sleep August 23, 2015 in the Lourdes-Noreen McKeen Residence. Mr. Burns was born September 28, 1920, in Brooklyn, NY, to George F. Burns & Anna Sloduski. He attended Our Lady of Solace Elementary School where he met the love of his life, Kathleen Scott., at the age of 12. During WWII, he volunteered for the US Coast Guard protecting the ports in New York City. Following his service to the country, he went to work for Smith Corona (SCM) where rose through the ranks to serve as President. In retirement, he enjoyed both playing and watching golf, traveling & spending time with his five grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, George F. Burns III of West Palm Beach, FL; daughter, Kathleen M. Boudria of Mendham, NJ; five grandchildren, Kelly (Brian) Meerbott of Philadelphia, PA, Katherine F. Boudria of New York, NY; Eileen M. Burns of Boynton Beach, FL, Richard M. Boudria Jr. of New York, NY and George F. Boudria of New York, NY; son-in-law, Richard M. Boudria of Mendham, NJ; and daughter-in-law, Irene Stolfi Burns of Boynton Beach, FL.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, St. Marks Catholic Church, Boynton Beach. A visitation will be held from 2pm to 4pm Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach.
