Obituary

A Man Who Made a Difference

George Grater, born September 1, 1930, to Herbert and Mary Ruth Grater (Betts) in Hoboken, New Jersey. Graduated from Hoboken High School, Purdue University in Indiana, and NYU in New York City.

George served in the Korean War in the Army and was honorable discharged as a First Lieutenant. He worked in Wall Street and the Empire State Building in New York City.

George retired from the Federal Reserve Bank in New York in 1983.

George traveled throughout the world and made lifelong friends. He lived in Spain for a while before coming to Florida.

He played tennis until age of 75. George was a master bridge player. He played and taught bridge to many and shared his passion and knowledge with all.

George is survived by his daughter Ann Fichera (Tom Craig), son Jim Rassol, granddaughter

Maryann Green (Tyler), grandson James Fichera (Sarah) and great grandson Connor George Green. His loving cousin Alberta Kowalak (Wally) their four children, nine grandchildren.

His cousin Fred Sette (Judy) their three children and grandchildren. George's bridge groups and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents.

Live every moment, Laugh every day and Love beyond words.

We will miss you for the remaindered of our days.

George will be cremated. There will be no service due to COVID.
