It is with great sadness that the family of George Francis Heege announces his passing after a brief illness, on the day of November 16, 2019, at the age of 80 years.

George with be lovingly remembered by his wife of 26 years, Mary Heege,  his stepdaughter Diane O'Brien & her husband Gerard O'Brien, stepson Michael Candido, daughter Jeanne Shaner, granddaughter Paige Ferrantino, brother Bobby Heege, sister in law Anita Heege, sister Susan Heege,( deceased), & many close friends.

Born & raised in Marine Park Brooklyn NY, the son of Robert Frederick & Margaret Lorraine Heege, George graduated from Good Shepherd HS in 1957 & joined the Marines right out of HS.  George served the Marines for 4 years. After service in the Marines, he moved to Long Island, NY. He met his wife Mary in 1986 & they married in 1993. George worked for Con Edison in New York City for 30 years, where he retired from.

George was always the life of the party.  He loved to dance with Mary often putting on a show with a fantastic routine.  He also enjoyed golf, tennis & bowling, but dancing was what he enjoyed most. George was a wonderful husband, father & friend.   He will forever be remembered & missed by all.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a Prayer Service to begin at 3:00 pm, at Boynton Memorial Chapel.
