Geraldine "Gerry" Deptula passed away peacefully at Trustbridge Care Center at Bethesda East on November 12, 2023.

Gerry was born on March 31, 1932, in Port Chester, NY to the late Anthony and Josephine Gasparini. After high school, Gerry moved to Miami, Florida in 1953 and worked as an Executive Secretary at Pan American Airlines. As fate would have it, she met the love of her life, Joseph Deptula Jr, when she brought her father's car in for service and Joe was her service advisor. Gerry became an active homemaker and was extremely active in her son's activities and lives. She hosted many "pre-game" meals and our home was always open to family and friends. While a homemaker, Gerry also built up a successful Shaklee franchise for many years. She was a lifelong diehard Dolphins, Heat, and University of Miami Hurricanes fan.

Gerry and Joe celebrated 62 years of marriage together until Joe's death in April 2021. They raised 3 sons together: Jeffrey (Cristine) of Stuart, FL, David (Libia) of Boynton Beach, FL, and Thomas (Kelly) of Boca Raton, FL.

Gerry is survived by 9 grandchildren: Christopher Deptula, Chris Deptula, Ashley Miranda (Jason), Samantha Deptula, Taylor Deptula, Joseph Deptula, Brent Deptula, Ryan Deptula, and Aubrey Deptula. She also has 4 great-grandchildren: Keilani Deptula, Adlina Deptula, Kairi Miranda, and Isabella Miranda. Gerry is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews and dear family friend Judy Hoveland.
